Chutney Turkey Burgers

Ingredients

  • BURGERS
  • 2 pounds ground turkey
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped parsley
  • 2 apples, peeled, finely chopped
  • Juice and grated peel of 1/2 lemon
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon chipotle powder
  • 1/2 jar Crosse & Blackwell® Major Grey's Chutney
  • SAUCE
  • 1/2 jar Crosse & Blackwell® Major Grey's Chutney
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard

Directions

  1. HEAT grill to medium-high heat. Mix all burger ingredients in large bowl. Shape into 8 patties. Grill approximately 7 minutes per side, or until internal temperature is 170°F.
  2. BLEND together chutney and mustard in small bowl. Serve burgers immediately with sauce on your favorite toasted artisan bread or whole-grain roll.
  3. For a little extra heat, try substituting Crosse & Blackwell® Hot Mango Chutney.
  4. For a South Asian twist, add 1 tsp. of curry powder in place of the chipotle powder.
  5. For a tangy sauce option, mix 1/2 jar of Crosse & Blackwell® Cranberry Chutney with 1 tablespoon creamy horseradish sauce.
